Islamabad, Pakistan (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - More then 500 representatives of more than 80 districts of five provinces of Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir and members of the Supreme Council have elected senior Shia cleric Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari Secretary General (Head) of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) on Sunday.
The 2-days convention of the MWM delegates was held in Islamabad on Saturday April 6 and Sunday April 7 to finalize the party electoral strategy and to elect the new secretary general of the leading Shiite representative organization of Pakistan.
The said delegates from Sindh, Punjab, Khyber-Pukhtoonkhwa, Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir were cast their votes for new secretary general of the MWM for another 3-years term.
Three years ago, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari was elected for the top slot of the MWM.
In his address to the participants of the two days long central convention, the newly reelected secretary general of MWM Allama Raja Nasir Abbas vowed that they would not surrender in front of satanic forces.
He said that MWM is the voice of 98 percent oppressed people of the country and the evil conspiracies of America, Israel and India would not succeed against our beloved country Pakistan.
